Currently we are looking for Windows Support Engineers to work onsite with our customer Hewlett-Packard, providing remote server and application support to HP customers based in Germany. The job purpose is to minimize the amount of unplanned downtime in the customer's production environment.


Requirements:

Technical skills:
• Deep knowledge in Windows Server, especially Windows Server 2003 and 2008
• File Services under Microsoft (create shares, administrate user rights, DFS, DFS-R )
• Active Directory (administration of group policies)
• Networking TCP/IP, Network services DNS, WINS, CIFS
• Scripting know how (Batch, Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting, Windows scripting host) would be appreciated
• Backup /restore and disaster recovery concepts
• Monitoring tools experience
• Security solutions

Soft Skills:
• Availability to integrate into complex projects
• Experience in independent project work
• High competence in troubleshooting and bug fixing
• Very good collaborative ability /very good team player skills

Language skills:
• English language skills
• German language skills are a big advantage
